Taylor Brown began his career in Public Health in 2004 with the Florida Department of Health in Lee County. He started as an Environmental Specialist and learned all Environmental Health and Engineering programs along the way. Throughout the years, he has been progressively promoted to higher more challenging positions, including Supervisor and Environmental Manager. Taylor has enjoyed learning and sharing the problem solving and leadership skills to confront challenges, while striving to increase efficiency and positive outcomes. Taylor currently serves as the Environmental Administrator of the Environmental Health and Engineering Section.

Prior to his time in public health, Taylor worked as a Marine Science Teacher and Rescue Scuba Diver at Newfound Harbor Marine Institute in the Florida Keys. Taylor is a proud husband and father. One of Taylor’s personal hobbies is landscaping, and he has created a food forest at his home which produces eighteen varieties of fruit.

A Florida native, Taylor is a graduate of Florida International University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, a Minor in Economics, and is a Registered Sanitarian. As Taylor ensures a healthier community, and advances his own professional career, the Florida Department of Health has brought him great joy and professional growth.
