
Debora Ithier
Program Administrator
Originally from New York, Debora graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the City University of New York. While in New York City, she worked as a communications operator with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
In 2003, Debora relocated to Lee County, Florida, and began working for the Florida Department of Children and Families as a child protective investigator.
From 2005 to 2009, she served as a site coordinator for the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program at Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida, Inc.
Debora joined the Florida Department of Health in Lee County in 2010 as a health educator, working on a health literacy project. From 2011 to 2013, she worked in the Healthy Start Program as a human services counselor.
Later in 2013, Debora transitioned to the Tobacco Prevention Program as a health education program consultant and eventually became program manager. In her current role as program administrator for the Health Promotions and Wellness area, she provides oversight and direction for the Tobacco Prevention, Minority Health, Healthiest Communities of Florida and Workplace Wellness programs.
