Temporary tattoo establishments must meet the same operational requirements as a regular tattoo shop, including hand sinks. They must also comply with Chapter 64E-28, Florida Administrative Code. To be considered “temporary,” events must not last longer than 14 consecutive days from the first day of the event.

To apply for a temporary tattoo establishment license in Lee County, businesses must submit the following items to DOH-Lee.
- Download and complete the Application for Tattoo Establishment License. Indicate "Temporary Event" at the top of the application and include the dates of the event. Email the completed application to LeeEH@flhealth.gov.
- Pay the $200 fee. You can pay online by visiting MyFloridaEHPermit.com or selecting “Pay Invoice.”
- A Biomedical Waste Generator Permit is also required for conventional and cosmetic tattoo businesses. The annual fee is $150 ($85 state of Florida fee, plus a $65 Lee County fee).
