Arielle Ghanem joined the Florida Department of Health in 2018 in the Public Information Office for Collier County. Since then, she has worked in the field of communicable diseases as an epidemiologist for the Florida Department of Health in Collier County and was most recently, the Biological Administrator for the Florida Department of Health in Lee County. Arielle brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in all aspects of infectious diseases. As Director of Communicable Diseases, she was responsible for providing oversite and direction to Epidemiology, HIV, STDs, and Regional Tuberculosis programs.

Arielle is dedicated to the mission of the Florida Department of Health. As a Florida native and public health advocate, she is proud to serve her community. Arielle formerly served on the Florida Department of Health Human Trafficking Workgroup and Human Trafficking Communications Committee.

A proud ‘Cane, Arielle is a University of Miami graduate, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science. Arielle holds a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from the University of South Florida and is Certified in Public Health through the National Board of Public Health Examiners.  She completed the Florida Department of Health Public Health Executive Leadership program with the University of South Florida College of Public Health in 2022.
