Lee County, Fla. - The Florida Department of Health in Lee County (DOH-Lee) has issued a water quality advisory for the following location:
Cape Coral Yacht Club
5819 Driftwood Pkwy
Cape Coral, FL 33904
Tests completed on Thursday, January 18, 2024, indicate that the water quality at Cape Coral Yacht Club does not meet the recreational water quality criteria for Enterococcus bacteria recommended by the Florida Department of Health.
DOH-Lee advises against any water-related activities at this location due to the potential for high bacteria levels. Bacteriological sampling conducted during regular water quality monitoring showed that the level of bacteria exceeds the level established by state guidelines.
DOH-Lee will continue to monitor the water quality in this area biweekly and routinely advise the public of the results. New test results should be available for Cape Coral Yacht Club on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
