Fort Myers, Fla — The Florida Department of Health invites Lee County residents to participate in the Lee County Community Town Hall meeting next month. This town hall meeting will focus on receiving input from the community in selecting key areas to address in the 2018-2022 Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). The CHIP is a tool created and used by the department in Lee County to highlight ways to improve the health of Lee County residents.
The meeting will start with a 30-minute presentation with data compiled on Lee County’s population. This will be followed by a brief explanation of the CHIP and the 14 areas of opportunity to improve based on the Community Health Needs Assessment completed in 2017. Finally, attendees will be asked to select two of the areas they find most important for improvement. The top three to five areas that receive the highest interest will become the focus for the 2018-2022 Florida Department of Health in Lee County CHIP. Your voice in this decision is important.
Date: July 2, 2018 (Monday)
Time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
We all strive for a healthier Lee County and the CHIP is a tool used by many local organizations to improve the county. All members of the community are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
